Want more government accountability?

Barb is a cosponsor of HB-2420 on redistricting (see her April 11th blog entry). A reminder from Common Cause Pennsylvania follows:

We are at a pivotal point for redistricting reform.

Government accountability is not possible without competitive elections, and the current redistricting process is designed to eliminate competition from most elections. It also is used by some elected leaders as a tool to reward or punish rank-and-file lawmakers law based on their compliance with leadership's directions.

Please support Rep. McIlvaine Smith in her efforts for fair redistricting for Pennsylvania. This is as important as the right to vote. We need to act right now - in June to get it done in time.
