Last Sunday, I had the good fortune of milking a cow at Seven Stars Farm (thanks to my terrific son-in-law John who set the whole thing up!). We had an udderly wonderful time! This was in preparation of my being a participant in the Annual Cow Milking Contest at the Farm Show in Harrisburg on Friday, January 11th.

Before we left for the competition that morning, we stopped in at WCOJ to talk to host JT and WC Dish Mary who spices up Friday morning radio. I told them about the time I was 5 and my dad said I was too little to go to the Farm Show with him and my older brother, who was only 7 at the time. My booby prize was a Golden Book of Cinderella that my dad brought home from the show for me. For a self-proclaimed tom-boy, that was not exactly the kind of gift I had in mind.
