FRIEND-raiser
Last weekend, new friends held a fundraiser for us at their dramatic, art-filled home in East Bradford Township. What a rousing success it was! Not only because we raised money to help spread our message to the voters, but also because we raised new friends who vowed to support us in many ways.
We also had a chance to chat with old friends who came out to wish us well…Lois Herr who is running for US Congress in the 16th District, Anne Crowley who is running for State Legislature in the 167th, and Andy Dinniman who is running for the 19th District State Senate seat in a special election on May 16th.
Like the song we sang around the bonfire at Girl Scout camp so long ago, “Make new friends, but keep the old…,” we are truly grateful for all of our friends. Thank you one and all!

Hey Barb,
I am so glad you are connecting with people of influence. Perhaps you can push the right buttons to address the concerns I related to you several months ago. That is Paxson woods at the end of Dean Street.
Eleanor Taylor tried to reassure me that the tract would not be condos but 13 individual homes instead. The net result will still be the trashing of a local treasure.
I am appealing to your conservationist background to appreciate the value of this tiny pocket of nature. I visit every day walking the dogs and watch the kids explore their fantasies unfettered by liability strictures.
Certainly ownership could not be so lenient but there are several examples of nature preserves survivng in our county so it must work. But they are out of reach for many. This one would be available to pedestrians.
My computer crashed and I lost the contact with a conservancy representative but you and I know the funds are available. Please do anything you can to preserve this jewel on the fringe of our vanishing neighborhood.
Sincerely,
Phil Weishampel
